Our Growth
Akker Growth Path in Kenya
2018
Year 2018: Company got incorporated and began operations in Kenya. Producing fresh fruits by own production and empowering smallholder farmers in avocado growing.
2019
Year 2019: Company began purchase, distribution and supply of fresh fruits to exporters in Kenya.
2020
Year 2020: Product diversification and portfolio expansion strategy begins, through the addition of new fruit categories to the basket – pineapple, and mango.
2021
Year 2021: Akker got licensed and began direct exports from Kenya, to the international markets.
2022
Year 2022: Established production and sourcing partnerships with cooperatives and commercial farms in Kenya, providing them with technical support, seedlings and other inputs.

Our Products
We package and export Smooth Cayenne and MD2 varieties of pineapple.
Packaging is done in corrugated cartons, and we can provide sizes 6 to 10.
Our pineapples are sourced and exported all year round from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Main varieties include Apple, Ngowe and Kent.
Seasonality: September – January.
Packaging: 4kg corrugated boxes. Calibers: c7 to c12.
Sea freight Packaging: 288, 4kg boxes per pallet.
Airfreight Packaging: 150, 4kg boxes per pallet.
Main varieties include Hass, Fuerte and Jumbo
Seasonality: January – November.
Packaging: 4kg and 10kg corrugated boxes or 10kg plastic crates. Calibers: c12 to c32
Sea freight Packaging: 288, 4kg boxes per pallet and 120, 10kg boxes per pallet.
Airfreight Packaging: 144, 4kg boxes per pallet and 54 10kg boxes per pallet.

We ship fresh fruit in refrigerated containers, through the Port of Mombasa, and the following transit to our main destinations:
Middle East (Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Salalah, Qatar) – 8 to 12 days.
Asia (China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia) – 16 to 21 days.
Europe (Rotterdam + Antwerp + Fos) – 20 to 23 days and Algeciras Spain – 16 to 18 days.
Air freight
We ship by air from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
